French sprinter Nacer Bouhanni will return to the peloton in La Polynormande after having to miss out on the Tour de France with a hand injury.

The Cofidis rider announced his return on his Twitter account, just over a month after hurting his hand in a hotel argument.

On June 26, Bouhanni reported that he had injured his hand during an argument with a group of drunk men in the hotel room next to his, after he had asked them to be a little quieter.

The 26-year-old required surgery and missed the Tour de France as a result.

The Polynormande is a 1.1 UCI Europe Tour race, first held in 1980. Bouhanni, with his return a serious candidate to take the victory, will look to succeed last year's winner Oliver Naesen.
