Olympic Time trial silver medalist Tom Dumoulin will lead Team Giant-Alpecin at the Tour of Britain, the organisation of the race confirms. The Dutchman will be joining other time trialists like Ryan Mullen, Alex Dowsett and Ian Stannard.

Dumoulin is the latest addition to the the provisional start list of the British race, which already included Sir Bradley Wiggins, Rohan Dennis and Taylor Phinney.

"The addition of riders of the caliber of Tom Dumoulin and Alex Dowsett to the provisional rider list will make the time trial on the Bristol Stage presented by OVA Energy a must-see event," said Race Director Mick Bennet.

"It will be a rare treat for spectators to see the likes of Tom and Alex going head-to-head with Sir Bradley Wiggins, Rohan Dennis and others on British roads," he added. "We now look forward to seeing who will triumph on what is a tough time trial course."

Ryan Mullen, former Irish time trial champion and the number two of the 2014 U23 world time trial championship, is excited to be in this tour. "It's one of the races I genuinely look forward to in the season. It was the first week long professional stage race I ever rode and I really hope to make a return every year," he said.
