Alexander Kristoff of Katusha has won the Tour des Fjords after winning his third stage in the Norwegian race on Sunday.

Kristoff had already won the second and third stages and confirmed his dominance by winning a sprint of 14 in the final stage leading to the city of Stavanger.

The front group, which also contained Michael Morkov, Michael Schar and Pieter Weening, finished about 30 seconds ahead of the pack with Kristoff crossing the line just ahead of Morkov and home rider Kristoffer Halvorsen.

In the General Classification, Kristoff started the day with a 20-second advantage over Schar (BMC) and Roompot-Oranje Peloton's Nick van der Lijke. As a result of his stage 5 victory, Kristoff extends his lead by another ten seconds. Schar and Van der Lijke remain on the podium.

The overall victory is Kristoff's second in the Tour des Fjords as the Norwegian had already won his home race in 2014. Austrian Marco Haller won in 2015.
