Stephen Cummings of Dimension Data remains in the lead of the Tour of Britain after Saturday's two stages, won by Tony Martin and Rohan Dennis respectively.

Day seven of the British race was divided into two different challenges with an individual time trial in the morning and a regular - albeit short - stage in the afternoon.

Both events took place on a circuit in Bristol. The time trial was 15km long and the same route was completed six times in the afternoon for course of 90 kilometers.

German Tony Martin of Etixx-QuickStep won the morning time trial with a three-second advantage over Rohan Dennis. Tom Dumoulin, placed second in the overall standings, finished third at five seconds but race leader Cummings finished fourth at only 11 second from the Dutchman and as such remained in first place.

In the afternoon, Dennis (BMC Racing Team) finished six seconds ahead of a large group in which Maximiliano Ariel Richeze and Dylan Groenewegen completed the top three. The gap between Cummings and Dumoulin remains the same as both finished in the same group, although Dennis now finds himself between the two, in second place.

With only Sunday's Stage 8 in London left to go in this year's Tour of Britain, Cummings has a 26-second lead over Dennis. Dumoulin follows at another 12 seconds.
