Froome, Sagan, Kittel and Adam Yates confirmed for Saitama Criterium

Chris Froome, Peter Sagan, Marcel Kittel and Adam Yates are scheduled to take part in this year's Saitama Criterium in Japan, to be held on October 29. The race has developed to become the most important event at the end of the season, which is confirmed by the names that are set to participate.

The Japanese criterium is organised by the Tour de France which is why the jersey wearers of the French Grand Tour go there in order to present themselves to the country's public.

The most anticipated riders of the race will be champion Chris Froome, Peter Sagan who won the green jersey for the fifth consecutive time; Rafal Majka with his polka dot King of the Mountains jersey, and Adam Yates, who earned the white jersey of the best young rider classification.

For this race, the riders will face the best talents of Japan, who will be led by Yukiya Arashiro and Fumiyuki Beppu, both participants of various editions of the Tour de France.

The first time that the Saitama criterium took place was in 2013 and it has since been won by Chris Froome, Marcel Kittel and John Degenkolb. Around the race, the riders get to experience some cultural activities and get a chance to celebrate the end of the season.
