Nacer Bouhanni takes easy win in Nokere Koerse

French sprinter Nacer Bouhanni has won the 2017 edition of Nokere Koerse. The Cofidis rider faced little serious competition in the final sprint.

Bouhanni was always a big favorite to win the Belgian 1.HC race due to the lack of other top sprinters, and things all went according to plan for his team as a lead group of seven was caught at 23 kilometers from the finish.

The last ten kilometers saw several crashes, most notably one involving Bouhanni's brother Rayane who furiously stepped into the team car in a matter of seconds.

In the final sprint, Bouhanni easily powered away from his rivals and crossed the line with an extremely comfortable advantage over Briton Adam Blythe of Aqua Blue Sport and Belgium's Joeri Stallaert of Cibel-Cebon.

The top five was completed by Phil Bauhaus of Team Sunweb and Sport Vlaanderen-Baloise rider Bert Van Lerberghe.
