Peter Sagan and Rafal Majka will lead the Bora-hansgrohe squad at the 2017 Tour de France. The riders will have the company of a team that also includes three German cyclists.

The squad will have Sagan for the points classification and the bunch sprint victories and Majka to fight for the General Classification. "We have a strong team going into this year’s Tour de France," said Enrico Poitschke, sports director. "The last weeks and strong results gave us confidence, and we are eager to also fulfil our goals at the Tour.

"To fulfil our goals, was also the main aspect in selecting the riders. We have to support two leaders and need a balance between guys for the flat, sprints, and climbers. I am confident we found that mix, and now we are ready and looking forward to the Grand Départ in Düsseldorf," he added.

The Bora-hansgrohe riders chosen to be in the Tour de France are: Maciej Bodnar, Emanuel Buchmann, Marcus Burghardt, Rafal Majka, Jay McCarthy, Pawel Poljanski, Peter Sagan, Juraj Sagan and Rüdiger Selig.
