Michal Kwiatkowski has won the Polish National Time Trial Championships. The Team Sky rider beat CCC Sprandi Polkowice's Marcin Bialoblocki by a minute and 15 seconds.

The time trial took place on a 39.6km course in the city of Krokowa, in northern Poland.

Kwiatkowski dominated from the start and the battle for first place soon became a battle for second place as Bialoblocki had no chance of beating Kwiatkowski but still faced competition from Maciej Bodnar of Bora-hansgrohe for the Silver medal.

In the end, Bialoblocki was 16 seconds faster than Bodnar and as such secured the second place on the podium. Kamil Gradek and Karol Domagalski of One Pro Cycling completed the top five.

For Kwiatkowski this is his second national time trial title after having won the race before in 2014. All of the last six editions, as well as the 2009 edition, were won by riders that are on the podium this year. Bodnar won the time trial four times, most recently in 2016.
