Nairo Quintana (Movistar) is pleased with the way stage eight developed, and he thinks Sunday's stage is the one that will make a difference.

The eighth stage of the Tour de France didn't create any differences in the top of the the General Classification, as all of the favorites arrived to the finish line at the same time. Quintana continues in ninth place of the overall standings, at 54 seconds from leader Chris Froome (Team Sky).

For the Colombian it was a good stage. "Everything went fine. Today about taking the rhythm and I hope the legs will continue to feel good tomorrow," said the rider at the end of the stage.

"This morning I already said the important thing of the day was to avoid losing any time, to be safe and to find the good sensations and that is what we did."

The stage between Nantua and Chambery is set to be the hardest one on the weekend and it is expected to make a difference for the General Classification. "Tomorrow is a very important test. We will have to keep an eye on the rivals and then see how it is going to develop," the Colombian commented.

Quintana pointed out that the team doesn't have a clear plan to attack on the ninth stage, but everything can be possible. "It all depends on how the rivals are going. We will have to see how they will respond throughout the stage.
