Alberto Contador (Trek-Segafredo) feels more optimistic despite the pain caused by his crashes at the Tour de France. The Spaniard is looking for the right moment to attack.

The rider is still affected by the injuries caused by two crashes during last Sunday's stage, but he has a plan for the rest of the Tour. "I hope I don't have to wait for the Alps to attack, which would mean that I've recovered, but right now I have bruises all over my body and maybe the Pyrenees are coming too soon," said Contador at the end of the stage.

For the Spaniard it was a good and calm day, suitable for further recovery. "I have been able to ride the stage without any trouble. I am in pain, but it's normal after the crashes. Tomorrow should be better because that's what is normal at the third day," he commented.

There's still one calm stage before the Pyrenees, and he hopes it will be like the 10th stage. "We saved the day, I'm happy. I'm in pain but it is normal. Now I have to keep recovering. Let's see if tomorrow we are lucky and it is like today, so we can keep recovering."

Contador is in 12th position in the General Classification at La Grande Boucle, at 5 minutes and 15 seconds from leader Chris Froome (Team Sky).
