Tour de France: Relaxed Fabio Aru happy to stay in Yellow after stage 13

Italian Fabio Aru was happy to keep his Yellow Jersey for another day after being able to avoid stressful moments in stage 13 of the Tour de France.

The Astana leader never seemed to be in trouble in Friday's stage and remained in the group of favorites until the finish. As such, he maintains his six-seconds lead over Chris Froome of Team Sky.

"In the sense of spetacle I think today was a beautiful day," Aru said in his post-stage interview.

"My goal was to stay calm, without stress. I didn't have to spend much time taking turns in front. We still have Yellow and that's what matters."

Aru and his team will have to do without Jakob Fuglsang for the remainder of the Tour. The Dane was forced to abandon as result of the injuries suffered in an earlier crash.

Fuglsang's abandon is bad news for me and for the whole team. It was impossible for him to continue considering the crash he suffered a few days ago. I wish him a speedy recovery. It's a big loss.
