Mikel Landa (Team Sky) finished the Tour de France in fourth position, at only one second of Romain Bardet (AG2R La Mondiale). Next year he wants to write a different story.

The rider was frustrated about being so close to the podium, but he already looks forward to the next edition of the race. "We will see what happens with my team next year, nothing has been decided yet," said the rider to Spanish news agency EFE.

"I hope next year I can come back to Paris dressed in Yellow. That would be beautiful."

The rider was one of the strongest domestiques working for champion Chris Froome and today was the day to enjoy the results. "The Tour is three very tough weeks but to arrive to Paris is very exciting, particularly with the Yellow Jersey in the team," he commented.

Since the end of the TT, Landa was joking about the possibility of attacking Bardet on the last day to get to the podium, but things got real during the last stage. "There was tension between us and if he had lost his focus I would have stolen the podium spot from him," he affirmed.
