Reto Hollenstein and Jhonatan Restrepo extend contracts with Katusha-Alpecin

Reto Hollenstein and Jhonatan Restrepo have extended their contracts with Katusha-Alpecin. The riders will stay at the Swiss squad for another year.

Swiss rider Hollenstein came to the team in 2017 and has had a good year supporting the leaders of the team, as was the case in the Tour de France. "Reto was a real stroke of luck for the team," said General Manager Jose Azevedo.

"Because of his strength, he has already taken on very important support roles for the team. Whether it is the spring classics or stage races, you can absolutely count on Reto."

Colombian Restrepo joined the team as a stagiaire in 2015 and in the current season he was the best young rider at the Tour Down Under and was in fourth position in the Vuelta a Ciclista a Murcia.

"In the first months of the season, Jhonatan showed us his huge talent. But now he must work more on his consistency throughout the year. If he does, he will continue to give us great satisfaction in the future," commented Azevedo.
