The next stop for Team Sunweb will be the Clasica San Sebastian. Riders that have had outstanding performances in this year's Grand Tours will take part in the Spanish race.
This race is made for climbers and the 2017 edition won't be an exception. Its 231 kilometre route will contain eight ascents, the last one being the most important at seven kilometres from the finish and containing gradients of 22 percent.
2017 Giro d'Italia winner Tom Dumoulin and 2017 Tour de France Polka Dot winner Warren Barguil are heading the impressive Team Sunweb roster for the Basque race.
"The competition will be really tough at Clasica San Sebastian with a lot of the peloton coming out of the Tour looking to continue their rhythm during the one-day races," said team coach Tom Veelers.
"We aim to go for a result with Warren and have a strong team around to support him. Zico and Chris will be the guys to control the bunch, then we have Lennard and Georg for the pre-final and we expect Tom, Laurens and Simon to be there deep into the final with Warren."
Next to Barguil and Dumoulin will be Laurens ten Dam, Simon Geschke, Chris Hamilton, Lennard Hofstede, Georg Preidler and Zico Waeytens.
