Rigoberto Uran (Cannondale-Drapac) is still enjoying the second spot in the overall standings of the Tour de France, but he also has time to think about what the future may bring.

The thought of being second in the French Grand Tour is still sinking in for the Colombian. "It was very beautiful to wake up today and feel the satisfaction of all the work we did," said the rider to Colombian radio Blu.

"Everybody wants to get to Paris on the last day, but to arrive there and be on the podium is something extremely beautiful."

Uran stated that his plans for now are to stay at Cannondale-Drapac and go back to the Tour in 2018. "I think next year I will come back to the Tour and at the team I feel pretty good. I don't worry about what will happen in the future, I have other people who work on that. What is true is that I have already been in seven European teams and I know a big part of the peloton," he commented.

The rider is also hopeful about the future of Colombian cycling. "Since 2013, we have always been on the podiums. If there's not one, then there is another, but we are always there. In the Tour we have been there for four consecutive years. The idea is to stay there and that one of us can win the Tour as soon as possible," he concluded.
