Movistar announces preselection for Vuelta a España

Movistar has announced a preselection of 12 riders for the upcoming Vuelta a España. The nine names that will participate in the last Grand Tour of the year will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

With big names missing from the squad, like Alejandro Valverde and Nairo Quintana, the Spanish team starts preparing for the Spanish Grand Tour which is set to start on the 19th of August in Nimes, France.

Winner Anacona, Jorge Arcas, Carlos Betancur, Richard Carapaz, Rubén Fernández, Gorka Izagirre, Dani Moreno, Nelson Oliveira, Antonio Pedrero, Dayer Quintana, José Joaquín Rojas and Marc Soler are the riders that may compete in La Vuelta next month.

The definitive list of riders will be announced after the upcoming races in which the team will take part: The Clasica San Sebastian, the Tour de Pologne, the Circuito de Getxo, the Vuelta a Burgos and the BinckBank Tour (formerly knows as the Eneco Tour.)
