Mark Renshaw returns to RideLondon to beat his second place

Prudential RideLondon-Surrey classic is a WorldTour race for the first time and Mark Renshaw comes back to try to improve from his second place of 2016. The Australian will be leading Dimension Data at the British event.

This course was made famous by hosting the 2012 Olympic Games road race and Renshaw wants to come back to this familiar route to take the best out of it. "The RideLondon-Surrey Classic has grown year-on-year and is now part of the World Tour which is pretty special," said Sport Director Roger Hammond.

"It has been terrific to grow with this race as a team and the support for Dimension Data for Qhubeka in the United Kingdom makes this an event we look forward to each season. Last year we missed the top step by a single place, and so this year we hope to make that right."

Renshaw will be accompanied by Ryan Gibbons, Scott Thwaites, Adrien Niyonshuti, Jay Thomson and Johann van Zyl.
