Magnus Cort Nielsen (Orica-Scott) finished in second position at RideLondon and he is satisfied with the work the team did for him at the end of the day.

The leader of the team was Daryl Impey, who spent the last part of the race in a late breakaway, but when it came to the sprint the roles changed. "We had Daryl Impey as our main leader, and he gave it a really good shot," said Cort Nielsen.

"But at the end it all came together for a sprint and the team did a major job for me and put me in the perfect position for the sprint."

The Dane could save some energy by staying in the peloton until the end, which paid off with a second spot in the race. "I was really tired but I was able to stay in the peloton and relax a little bit because Impey was in front," explained the rider.

"I would have been happy for that group to make it to the end. But then the group came back, and we had to go at 100% for the sprint."
