Tour de France Polka Dot Jersey winner Warren Barguil will move from Team Sunweb to Professional Continental team Fortuneo-Oscaro at the start of the 2018 season.

The French formation announced the signing on Wednesday, saying that it will build its new project around the 25-year-old.

"It is a great pride for the entire Fortuneo-Oscaro team to see the arrival of a great champion like Warren," said the team's general manager Emmanuel Hubert. "He will be able to count on all the desire and the collective strength of a team that has long been waiting to support a strong leader, able to win the biggest races at the international level.

"Warren and we share the same values ??of humility, combativity and generosity that are essential to win, because in cycling, success is always collective," he added.

Barguil is currently in his fifth season at Sunweb and will experience what it is like to ride for a different team after having spent all of his career so far working with the same people.

"I am very happy to join Fortuneo-Oscaro and I have watched the team's rise in recent years. As the last Tour de France showed, there is a very solid collective and Emmanuel Hubert has the ambition to make the team grow again with a project that I find exciting, to look for results in the biggest international races."

In the process, the team also announced the signing of veteran Amael Moinard who will join from BMC Racing Team and is set to help Barguil wherever possible.

"I was seduced by the sporting challenge proposed by Emmanuel Hubert and Warren Barguil. I know Warren well, I want to accompany him in his different goals. I join a group that is already very powerful and focused on the offensive, the goal will be to unite the team around Warren, a strong and charismatic leader," the 35-year-old said.
