Matteo Trentin of Quick-Step Floors delivered the perfect sprint to take the stage victory on the fourth day of the Vuelta a España.

The Italian surpassed LottoNL-Jumbo's Juan Jose Lobato in the last meters to take the win ahead of the Spaniard.

"I was really looking for a victory because I'm really doing good at this last part of the season," the 28-year-old said. "After the crash that took me out in the Tour de France, I was just thinking about coming back here and winning stages."

The Vuelta is still young but Quick-Step has already had its fair share of success, with Lampaert winning the second stage and wearing the Red Jersey for a day.

"Two days ago I think we did a really good job together with Yves Lampaert and he took the win and the jersey and today we decided that it was my time. The guys were amazing and we got some help by Aqua Blue, by Lotto, by UAE at the beginning. But when things went crazy we just took the situation, and we got everybody pulling. We built up a really nice train coming into the finish.

With this victory, Trentin joins the list of riders that have won stages in all three of the Grand Tours.

"I will think about it in the future," he said when reminded of that fact. "I'm really proud to do this with the Quick-Step team. I'm really proud to have achieved victories in the three Grand Tour with this team."
