Vuelta a España - Adam Yates: Later in the race we will have more cards to play

Adam Yates of Orica-Scott is the best young rider in the Vuelta a España after four days, occupying eighth place in the overall standings.
The British rider, who is two spots ahead of his twin brother Simon, completed the fourth stage as planned and will go into stage five trailing race leader Chris Froome by 39 seconds.
"It feels good," he said. "It is a shame there is no jersey. So far I'm feeling good after losing a bit of time yesterday but for the team it's good that one of us is only ten seconds down on the GC (Esteban Chaves at 11 seconds). As long as one of us finishes on the podium or close to the podium we can call it a success. There is a long way to go, and we will have to see what happens."
Orica-Scott's situation is rather unusual with three riders capable of fighting for a podium spot. Esteban Chaves and the Yates brothers will all have a chance to go for their own classifications in this race although things may well be adjusted later on.
"It's very easy, we just do our best and if one of us has good legs then they can try something. Later in the race, obviously we're going to have more cards to play, more riders, and we can use that to our advantage, using different tactics and hope we can get a nice result from that."
