The Norwegian selection for the World Championships in Bergen is ready. As was announced before, European champion Alexander Kristoff and Edvald Boasson Hagen will lead the squad in its home country.
Norway has nine spots for the race and the federation has now unveiled the other seven names that will form part of the team. Amund Grøndahl Jansen (LottoNL-Jumbo), Vegard Stake Laengen (UAE Team Emirates), Daniel Hoelgaard (FDJ), August Jensen (Team Coop), Truls Korsæth (Astana), Odd Christian Eiking (FDJ) and Sven Erik Bystrøm (Katusha-Alpecin) will join Kristoff and Boasson Hagen in the competition.
Even though Bystrøm had a fracture in the scapula as a consequence of a fall in the Vuelta a España, the Norwegian federation trusts that he will be recovered on time. But in case his recovery takes longer, Markus Hoelgaard (Team Joker) will be his replacement.
Boasson-Hagen will also take part in the Individual Time Trial and the second spot for Norway in this competition will go to Andreas Vangstad (Team Sparebanken).
