French National Coach Cyrille Guimard has made his final decision for the World Championships that will take place in Bergen, Norway.

AG2R La Mondiale's Alexis Gougeard will compete in the time trial, after finishing in tenth position at the Individual time trial of the 2017 Vuelta a España.

At the road race, France will be led by Julien Alaphillipe (Quick-Step Floors). The rider has already finished third in Milan-San Remo and recently won the eighth stage of the Vuelta a España.

The Quick-Step rider will be accompanied by Tony Gallopin (Lotto-Soudal), Lilian Calmejane (Direct Energie), and Anthony Roux (FDJ). One of the last ones to be selected for the race was Warren Barguil, who won the Polka Dot Jersey at the Tour de France and was expelled from the Vuelta a España by team Sunweb after refusing to follow orders.

The team will be completed by Cyril Gautier (AG2R La Mondiale), Olivier Le Gac (FDJ), and Julien Simon (Cofidis).
