Jolien D'Hoore (Wiggle High5) has won the Madrid Challenge for the second year in a row. The Belgian champion was the strongest in the final sprint in Madrid.

The third edition of the Madrid Challenge took place in the Spanish capital city featuring a course of 87 kilometers.

The peloton rode together for the first two laps on the circuit. Even though there were several attempts to escape, none were successful.

Riders like Elisa Longo Borghini (Wiggle High5), Irena Ossola (SAS-Macogep) and Malgorzta Jasinska (Cylance) tried their luck, but a very motivated pack led by teams like Sunweb always managed to reel them back in.

Even though Sunweb was one of the strongest teams in the race, Coryn Rivera had to settle for second position as Jolien D'Hoore showed to be the strongest sprinter, taking her second victory in a row. FDJ's Roxane Fournier finished in third position.
