The Netherlands finishes at the top of the World Championships medal standings, having won four Gold medals and two Silver in Bergen, Norway.

The four Gold medals were won by Tom Dumoulin in the Men's time trial, Chantal Blaak in the Women's road race, Annemiek van Vleuten in the Women's time trial and Team Sunweb at the Women's team time trial.

Even though Team Sunweb also won the Men's team time trial, the men's team is licensed in Germany rather than the Netherlands.

Anna van der Breggen won one of the Dutch silver medals at the women's time trial and team Boels-Dolmans took another at the Women's team time trial.

The second country in the table was Italy, with a total of seven medals. Both Gold medals for the country were won by Elena Pirrone in the Women's junior road race and the Women's junior time trial.

The three Silver medals for the Italians were won by Luca Rastelli at the Men's junior road race, Antonio Puppio in the Men's junior time trial and Alessia Vigilia at the Women's junior time trial; and the two bronze medals were won by Michele Gazzoli at the Men's junior road race and Letizia Paternoster at the Women's junior road race.

Denmark is the third country in the standings with five medals. The Scandinavian country took one Gold medal at the Men's under-23 time trial with Mikkel Bjerg and another in the Men's junior road race with Julius Johansen.

Emma Jørgensen won a silver medal at the Women's junior road race, Amalie Dideriksen got bronze at the Women's road race and Michael Carbel finished third at the Men's under-23 road race.

Host country Norway had to settle with one silver medal won by Alexander Kristoff at the Men's road race.
