Rachel Neylan has signed for Movistar team. The Australian moves from Orica-Scott to join the Spanish women's squad for its first year in the peloton.

After confirming the first eight riders that will form part of the team in the past days, a ninth signing was confirmed on Friday. Neylan comes with ten years of experience in the sport after she practiced other disciplines like athletics, triathlon and kayak.

"I very much want to come to the team and bring my enthusiasm and passion for cycling to this new project. Sharing my experience with the younger riders will be a very gratifying experience," said the rider.

Neylan was second at the World Championships of Valkenburg 2012 and was one of the stars of the escape at the Ponferrada championships. Her palmares includes victories at the 2015 GP Plumelec, the 2015 Cadel Evans Road Race and the 2015 Trophee d'Or.
