Movistar Team will be lead by Nairo Quintana in the new Colombian 2.1. race 'Colombia Oro y Paz'.

The team's General Manager Eusebio Unzue confirmed to the Colombian Cycling Federation that Quintana will start his season in the newly created race and will be accompanied by three fellow countrymen.

Carlos Betancur, Winner Anacona and Dayer Quintana will ride with the two-times grand tour winner, who will also have the support of Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz and Victor de la Parte. The Spaniard will be the only European of Movistar to start in the race.

Carapaz will return to competition in Colombia after winning the Vuelta de la Juventud and the Clasico RCN in 2015, before becoming a professional rider.

Colombia Oro y Paz will take place between the 6th and the 11th of February of 2018.
