Volta a Catalunya announces seven invited teams

SUBSCRIBE TO RSS FEEDSThe Volta a Catalunya has announced the seven invited teams for its 2018 edition. Three Spanish teams, two French, one Colombian and one Israeli are going to take part in the race alongside the 18 WorldTour squads.
The 98th edition of the race will have the participation of 25 teams. Throughout the last months, the organisation of the event received up to 16 requests from ProContinental teams, out of which the seven squads were selected.
Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, Burgos-BH, Euskadi Basque Country-Murias Taldea, Cofidis Pro Cycling Team, Fortuneo-Samsic, Manzana Postobón and Israel Cycling Academy will start in the race that will take place from the 19th to the 25th of March.
The Volta a Catalunya has adapted to the new UCI rules and the participating teams will be formed by seven riders to reach a total of 175 cyclists in the race.
