Alberto Contador has signed with Eurosport as a cycling commentator. The former rider will join the Spanish team at the international medium.

The two-time Tour de France and Giro d'Italia winner and three-time Vuelta a España champion is ready to tackle his next challenge in the world of cycling. He will be joining the team that is formed by Antonio Alix, Eduardo Chozas, Luis Jimenez, Juan Antonio Flecha and Laura Meseguer.

"The proposal of Eurosport is attractive to me for several reasons, first because it will help me keep alive my passion for the sport and I will also be able to keep in direct contact with the cycling world, with my friends and with my former mates in the peloton," Contador commented.

"I hope to be able to transmit my experience as a rider to the spectators and to share anecdotes and knowledge that can be interesting. I'm very happy about starting this new road through which I also hope to learn things by being on the other side of the action. And I hope to keep having a good time watching good cycling."

Eurosport has positioned itself as a place for cycling by transmitting top races like the Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France, the Vuelta a España, the five monuments, the spring classics, the World Championships and the cycling events of the Olympic Games.

The next events to be broadcasted by the channel are the Vuelta a la Comunidad Valenciana, the Dubai Tour, the six days of Berlin and Copenhagen and the World Championships of Cyclocross.
