AG2R La Mondiale's Romain Bardet will return to racing at the Classic de L'Ardeche. The Frenchman will continue his season in France after an injury took him out of the Ruta del Sol.
After his eighth place at the Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise at the end of January, Bardet was getting ready to continue his season at the Vuelta a Andalucia/Ruta del Sol but an accident at his home pulled him out of the Spanish race.
The Frenchman suffered an accident at his home at the French Riviera which left him with a cut and a small muscle injury to his left forearm that required stitches.
Bardet was set to be off the road for two weeks and confirmed that he will be back for the Classic de l'Ardeche on Saturday, the 24th of February and will continue on the Sunday at the Drome Classic.
Other riders like Lilian Calmejane (Direct Energie), Arthur Vichot (Groupama-FDJ), Warren Barguil (Fortuneo-Samsic) and Pierre Latour (AG2R La Mondiale) will also participate in both races.
