Dayer Quintana (Movistar) has won the last stage of Colombia Oro y Paz. Team Sky's Egan Bernal was second on the day and took the overall victory at the race.

The Queen stage of the Colombian race was 187.7 kilometres long, featuring several climbs and including an uphill finish once again. The action started with an escape of more than 30 riders that included Dayer Quintana (Movistar), Fernando Gaviria (Quick Step Floors) and Rodrigo Contreras (EPM) and Tao Geoghegan Hart (Sky).

As the climbs passed, the front group became smaller until Contreras was left alone. Behind him, Egan Bernal (Sky) made a move and Sebastian Henao stayed at his wheel, getting away from the rest of the relevant men for the General Classification.

Contreras, who was a stagiaire of Quick-Step Floors for one season and a half, was caught at the last kilometre by Dayer Quintana, who made a jump from the favourites group and overtook the Sky men to take the stage win. Henao and Bernal arrived together to the finish line and the latter crossed the finish line first, taking the bonification seconds that allowed him to take the final victory.

Nairo Quintana finished second in the overall classification and Rigoberto Uran stepped on the last step of the podium.
