Philippe Gilbert, Niki Terpstra and Zdenek Stybar will be the main men for Quick-Step Floors for the upcoming Le Samyn.

The Belgian race was created in 1968 and has many of the favorite elements for the lovers of the Spring season: steep short climbs and cobbles.

Gilbert and Terpstra already know what it is like to take the victory in the race and have the intentions of repeating it, while Stybar wants to taste the victory on the Belgian cobbles as well. They will have the company of Tim Declercq, who already rode in the opening weekend of the Spring season, as well as Fabio Jakobsen, Davide Martinelli and Florian Senechal.

"We come here with a very strong team, built around three riders who have ambitions for this race, and I’m talking here of Philippe, Zdenek and Niki," said sports director Tom Steels. "Florian, who despite being new on the squad, already proved this year what a talented rider he is, together with Tim, Davide and Fabio, will support our guys in this race which on top of having a demanding course, will be made hard also by the weather.

"With temperatures below zero degrees and a strong wind coming from the north it will be very tough out there, but we will try to leave our mark on this beautiful race."

Complete roster of Quick-Step Floors for Le Samyn (27th of February):

Tim Declercq
Philippe Gilbert
Fabio Jakobsen
Davide Martinelli
Florian Sénéchal
Zdenek Stybar
Niki Terpstra
