Canyon-SRAM has unveiled a strong line-up for the second edition of Liege-Bastogne-Liege, with Kasia Niewiadoma aiming to improve from last year's third place.

The team achieved a fifth place at the Amstel Gold Race with Alexis Ryan, who will also ride Liege-Bastogne-Liege, but couldn't compete for the top spot at the Flèche Wallonne this week. Nevertheless, Sports Director Ronny Lauke remains optimistic.

"?"The day went well and the team raced as planned up until the final kilometre of Flèche Wallonne. The Mur de Huy is unforgiving and we didn't have anything left to be in the final mix. We will need to learn from it and try again, in a different way," he said.

"To use the the words of Billie Jean King, 'Champions keep playing until they get it right.' I believe our riders are champions, so we will stand up and will do our best to be an uncomfortable opponent and aim to take a win from this week."

This year's edition of 'Liege-Bastogne-Liege Femmes', the last race of the so-called Ardennes Classics, will be 135 kilometers long.

The complete Canyon-SRAM line-up for Liege-Bastogne-Liege (April 22):

Alena Amialiusik
Elena Cecchini
Pauline Ferrand-Prévot
Lisa Klein
Kasia Niewiadoma
