Team EF Education First will face Sunday's Liege-Bastogne-Liege with a strong line-up including riders like Lawson Craddock, Rigoberto Uran and Michael Woods.
The team couldn't make a difference in La Fleche Wallonne on Wednesday, with Uran's 28th position topping the team's results, but did have Craddock take a top-ten spot (ninth) at the Amstel Gold Race a few days earlier.
Craddock, for one, is looking forward to this weekend's race. "I like Liege because it’s the hardest one-day race on the calendar. At the end of the race, the strongest guy wins. It’s an honest race, and races like that are special," the American said.
Uran, meanwhile, knows that this is the moment for him to shine if he wants to get a good result in a race of this level. "Any monument is important. This one is special because it’s a classic for the climbers. There are more than 4000 meters of climbing on Sunday. For riders like me, there are not many chances to win a classic. I only have the options in Lombardy and Liege.
