WorldTour team Groupama-FDJ has announced its line-up for the 101st edition of the Giro d'Italia.

The WorldTour formation aims at its first ever pink jersey win in its history. Winner of the recent Tour of the Alps, Thibaut Pinot, is their man to achieve this goal, and the entire Giro selection is built around him. Four of his helpers during the Tour of the Alps will also support Pinot in May, as climbers Steve Morabito, Georg Preidler, Sebastien Reichenbach and Jérémy Roy all made the cut. The selection will be completed with Anthony Roux, William Bonnet and Matthieu Ladagnous, who will mainly have to support Pinot during the flat stages.

Pinot competes in the Giro for the second time in his career. Last year he made his debut, with a 4th place in the GC and a stage win as a result. This year he aims at nothing less than the win, having beaten rivals including Chris Froome and Miguel Ángel Lopez in the Tour of the Alps. Another one of his teammates there, Tobias Ludvigsson, has been assigned a stand-by role.

Complete roster of Groupama-FDJ for the Giro d'Italia (4th to 27th of May):

William Bonnet (FR)
Matthieu Ladagnous (FR)
Steve Morabito (CH)
Thibaut Pinot (FR)
Georg Preidler (AT)
Sebastien Reichenbach (CH)
Anthony Roux (FR)
Jérémy Roy (FR)
