Movistar Team will be starting in the 101st edition of the Giro d'Italia with one of the youngest rosters of the race.

With the main men of the team focusing on the Tour de France, the Spanish formation has decided to take a team of young riders to the Italian grand tour to prove themselves. The roster will have a Latin American flavour with four of the riders coming from South America: Carlos Betancur, Dayer Quintana, Richard Carapaz and Eduardo Sepulveda.

Carapaz, along with Sepulveda and Antonio Pedrero, will be riding the Giro d'Italia for the first time. Six of the eight riders are 28 years old or less, which makes them the youngest team in the 2018 edition of the race, just behind Bardiani-CSF.

Movistar's complete line-up for the 2018 Giro d'Italia (4th to 27th of May):

Carlos Betancur
Dayer Quintana
Richard Carapaz
Eduardo Sepulveda
Victor de la Parte
Ruben Fernandez
Antonio Pedrero
Rafa Valls
