Linda Villumsen and Team Virtu part ways

Linda Villumsen and Team Virtu have taken the decision to part ways. The rider has chosen to spend more time with her family.
The extensive palmares of the Danish-born New Zealander includes the 2014 Commonwealth Games Time Trial championships, the 2015 World Time Trial championships and twice the Route de France Feminine.
The rider has been in the Danish formation since 2017 and also came to share her experience with the new talents of the team. "I have had a good time and some nice experiences with Virtu and I have enjoyed sharing my experience with the younger riders on the team," Villumsen commented, "but I have also come to the point in my life where I want to prioritize time at home to a greater extent than now and I´m happy that the team respects my wishes."
The team understands the decision of the rider. "We have been very pleased to make use of Linda’s extensive road experience and even though we are sad to see her go, we understand and respect Linda’s desire to spend more time at home and we wish her all the best for the future."
