Jelle Vanendert of Lotto Soudal has won the fourth stage of the Baloise Belgium Tour. Jens Keukeleire is the new overall leader.

The fourth of five stages started and finished in Wanze and its 151.4km parcours included two ascents of the Mur de Huy, the second of which at about 37 kilometers from the finish.

A lead group including Vanendert broke into pieces on and after the Mur, leaving just five riders at the front in the last ten kilometers. Vanendert had the company of his teammate Jens Keukeleire, as well as Dion Smith of Wanty-Groupe Gobert, Anthony Turgis of Cofidis and Edward Dunbar of Aqua Blue Sports.

Vanendert then attacked and finished solo with an advantage of 16 minutes of the chase group, where Keukeleire won the sprint for second place.

With one stage to go in the Belgian race, Keukeleire is the new leader of the general classification.
