Andrea Pasqualon wins in Luxembourg, Alexander Krieger leads

Andrea Pasqualon of Wanty-Groupe Gobert has won the second stage of the Skoda Tour de Luxembourg. German Alexander Krieger is the new overall leader.

The second stage of the 2.HC race was supposed to be 170 kilometers long but this was cut to just 90 kilometers due to severe weather conditions.

Although a breakaway was launched in the early kilometers, the peloton kept things under control and forced a final sprint after just under two hours of racing.

Pasqualon did well to cross the line ahead of Leopard's Krieger and home rider Alex Kirsch of WB Aqua Protect.

Although Krieger just missed out on the stage win, he did move into first place in the overall classification at the expense of Direct Energie's Damien Gaudin who finished the stage at 28 seconds.
