AG2R La Mondiale chooses strong roster to support Romain Bardet at Tour de France

AG2R La Mondiale has prepared a strong team to support Romain Bardet's ambitions at the Tour de France. A very versatile team will accompany the rider in every challenge.
Bardet is set to be once again the main man for the French team to fight for the General Classification. "We are going to approach the Tour de France with legitimate ambitions that we have had since 2014," said team manager Vincent Lavenu.
"Our group is even stronger than last year with a charismatic leader who is gaining momentum within the hierarchy, and aiming to shine at the highest level. We will remain humble and realistic because the competition is very strong."
The team has picked up riders with diverse skills that can support the Frenchman in every terrain. "In choosing the team for the Tour, we found the balance between the great riders, powerful, and able to protect Romain Bardet in the first part of the Tour through the cobbles as well as in the team time trial, and then the climbers who will be capable of staying with him far into the mountains," explained Lavenu.
