Wilco Kelderman (Sunweb) and Tony Gallopin (AG2R La Mondiale) have suffered crashes in their respective national championships at six days from the start of the Tour de France.
Kelderman was involved in a crash at the road race of the Netherlands national championships and he fell on a shoulder that has been injured before. "Tomorrow he will have a CT scan to determine if potential changes have occurred," said the team in a tweet.
The rider is set to be one of the key men for Tom Dumoulin at the mountains of the Tour de France after finishing in the fifth GC position of the Tour de Suisse.
Gallopin also suffered a crash during the French road race of the national championships and he was taken straight away to the hospital for examination.
French site CyclingPro.net reports that the rider only suffered bruises and external injuries on the right side. He also had a hit on the chest and the next day he will be undergoing a CT scan to rule out any other injuries.
The Frenchman is set to play an important supporting role for Romain Bardet in his aspirations of winning the Grande Boucle.
