The eighth stage of the Tour de France has had one crash in the peloton that affected riders like Dan Martin (UAE Team Emirates), Omar Fraile (Astana) and Tony Martin (Katusha-Alpecin). Here's an overview of their injuries and diagnose.
Dan Martin
"X-rays reported no fractures for Martin, who suffered in the crash a lumbar trauma and superficial wounds and grazes on the lumbar zone, on the left elbow and on the back," said UAE Team Emirates Doctor, Antonio Angelucci.

The crash left the Spaniard with a bruised collarbone.

The rider was also involved in the crash of the day and the injuries sustained stop him from continuing in the race. "A spinal fracture (vertebral compression fracture) makes it impossible to continue in the Tour de France," said Katusha-Alpecin in a tweet.
