Just before the start of the penultimate stage of the Tour de France, Tom Dumoulin (Sunweb) suffered a moment of panic when his skinsuit was nowhere to be found.

The Dutchman realised on the morning of the stage that his rainbow time trial suit was missing. "There was a little panic, yes," said Dumoulin to Dutch media. "At the start of a race, I always give my stuff to the bus or the truck, because I don't want to drag everything with me the entire time. That included my time trial suit, which was lost."

Sunweb had the luck that the clothing company that provides it with the suits, Etxeondo, is based in San Sebastian, Spain, and very close to the part of France where the time trial was going to take place. One of the workers for the company, Flory Hernandez, was in charge of making a new skinsuit for the rider with a lot of time pressure.

Thanks to Hernandez, Dumoulin could show his World Champion colours at the 20th stage of the Tour de France.

Reporter Robin van der Kloor, of Dutch newspaper De Limburger, was present during the making of the suit.
