Izagirre brothers to lead Bahrain-Merida at Clasica San Sebastian

Ion and Gorka Izagirre will lead Bahrain-Merida at the Clasica San Sebastian. The brothers will be back to their homeland to fight for the victory of the WorldTour race.
The Spanish race will take place on the 4th of August and on its 228-kilometres route, it features eight categorised climbs including the Murgil Tontorra, a 2.5-kilometre climb with a gradient of 9% and the steepest ramp of 22%.
"This is one of the hardest races at the WorldTour," said Bahrain-Merida's Sports Director Alberto Volpi. "Very warm weather conditions and hard climbs. We have Ion and Gorka Izagirre to be our leaders here.
"They both have shown good form at Tour de France and our objective is to win this race with a teamwork that will help the brothers. We have riders able to do a good race without big suffering and the last climb at 7 km from arrival could be decisive."
