Jos van Emden rides with Ellen van Dijk's skinsuit

The Dutch rider of LottoNL-Jumbo lost his suitcase in the flight that took him to Glasgow for the European Championships. The day before the time trial he joked that he was going to ride naked, but in the absence of another solution, he borrowed the skinsuit of European Champion Van Dijk.

"The airline simply didn't know where my suitcase is so I have no clothes here. Luckily Ellen van Dijk still had one suit left, so I rode in it. A women's suit, but it was not too bad," the rider joked to Dutch broadcaster NOS. He finished in the eighth position of the competition.

Loïc Chetout extends contract with Cofidis
