Trek Women's team has announced the signing of Lotta Lepistö for the 2019 season. The rider will join the newly created team after five seasons in Cervelo-Bigla.

The Finnish rider has been seven times National champion on the road and five times National team trial champion. Her palmares includes two bronze medals at the World Championships road race and team time trial and victories in races like Gent-Wevelgem, Crescent Vargarda and Dwaars Door Vlaanderen.

"I am super excited to join the Trek team! I’m looking forward to working with a new team setup," Lepistö commented. "I’m happy I can work with such a strong squad, especially Ina (Teutenberg) and Giorgia (Bronzini), they are some of the best sprinters, and I’m eager to learn from them. I want to help the team to be on top and really excited to take on the new challenge."

"I want to win as many bike races as we can, as a team. For me, it would be super cool to win one of the Classics in the spring and have a good race at the World Championships in Yorkshire."

Lepistö is the fifth rider to be officially announced for Trek Women's Team after Lizzie Deignan, Elisa Longo Borghini, Ruth Winder and Lauretta Hanson.
