Quintana, Uran, Lopez and Henao headline Colombian selection for World Championships

The Colombian National Federation has selected the riders that will wear the country's colours at the 2018 World Championships. Seven of the eight riders selected for the men's race ride in WorldTour teams.

National coach Carlos Mario Jaramillo has selected Nairo Quintana, Rigoberto Uran, Miguel Angel Lopez and Sergio Luis Henao as the main men to lead the country's aspirations on the race. The profile of the race make it suitable for the climbers and the Colombian team certainly has many riders that could take the final victory.

The men's team will be completed by Daniel Felipe Martinez (EF Education First), Sebastian Henao (Sky), Winner Anacona (Movistar) and Rodrigo Contreras (EPM Scott).

Ana Cristina Sanabria (Swapit Agolico), Paula Andrea Patiño and Liliana Moreno (Astana Women) will start in the women's race while Androni-Sidermec's Ivan Ramiro Sosa will be in the U23 competition.
