Movistar Team has renewed most of the riders that were part of the women's team in its first season. Nine out of the ten cyclists of the Spanish team will continue for at least one more year.

The Spanish team has decided to maintain its core for another year after a successful 2018 season. The Spanish riders that have extended their contracts with the team include the Spanish time trial champion Mavi Garcia, Alicia Gonzalez, who reached the podium at the Setmana Valenciana; Lorena Llamas, Eider Merino, Lourdes Oyarbide, Gloria Rodriguez and Alba Teruel.

These riders will be joined by Roxane Fournier and Sheyla Gutierrez, whose signing was announced earlier in the year. Aude Biannic, French national champion who reached the second place at the Lotto Belgium Tour and Malgorzata Jasinska are the two foreign riders that will also remain in the team.

Rachel Neylan will not continue at Movistar for the 2019 season.
