Ale-Cipollini has confirmed the signing of Jelena Eric. The Serbian champion makes the move to the new team after spending one year at Cylance Pro Cycling.
This will be the fifth season as a professional rider for the 22-year-old. In 2018 she confirmed her road and time trial national titles after winning both events for the third time in a row.
The palmares of the Serbian champion includes top-ten positions in races like the Tour of Guangxi, the Grand Prix de Dottignies and the Tour of Zhoushan Island. Eric is the fourth signing for Ale-Cipollini ahead of the 2019 season after the Colombian Diana Peñuela, the Italian Nadia Quagliotto and the Japanese Eri Yonamine.
"Thanks to Ale-Cipollini for this important opportunity: I have joined one of the most competitive Teams in the world, I hope to give a fundamental contribution," said the Serbian as a reaction to the news.
The team manager of Ale-Cipollini Fortunato Lacquaniti welcomed the arrival of the rider. "Jelena is an athlete who can improve her qualities. We are sure that she will give an important help to the team," he commented.
