Paula Patiño is the last signing of Movistar for the 2019 season. The Colombian rider becomes the 13th cyclist for the second year of the Spanish team.

The 21-year-old has been confirmed as the last signing of the team directed by Jorge Sanz for its second year of existence. The Colombian moves to the Spanish formation after spending a few months at the UCI's World Cycling Centre in Aigle, Switzerland.

Despite her young age, Patiño already has a palmares that includes two victories at the Colombia Oro y Paz women's race and top-ten spots in the overall classification of races like the Grand Prix de Plumelec-Morbihan Dames, the Tour de Belle Isle en Terre-Kreiz Breizh Elites Dames and the Vuelta a Colombia Femenina.

Patiño joins eleven riders that will make up the squad of Movistar for the 2019 season. Aude Biannic, Roxane Fournier, Mavi García, Alicia González, Sheyla Gutiérrez, Malgorzata Jasinska, Lorena Llamas, Eider Merino, Lourdes Oyarbide, Gloria Rodríguez and Alba Teruel complete the team.
